Edelweiss Bester Scheepers

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of the Free State. I am registered with the HPCSA in the category of Clinical Psychology Independent Practice (PS 0126624). My indemnity insurance is with the Medical Protection Society (MPS, C06/5676) and I am registered with the Board for Healthcare Funders (BHF) to claim from medical aids (Practice No. 0634565). My other certifications include Somatic Experiencing practitioner and  Imago Relationship Therapist. I am currently enrolled in the final year of my Ph.D in Counselling with specialization in Imago Relationship Therapy at Daybreak University, Los Angeles, CA, USA.

I have 6 years experience practicing as an independent practice clinical psychologist. My internship was at the Free State Psychiatric Complex in Bloemfontein in 2014 which was followed by community service at Dihlabeng Regional Hospital in Bethlehem, 2015. Hereafter I was employed at Central Karoo Hospital in De Aar as a Clinical Psychologist until December 2016. I went into part-time private practice in May 2016 and have been based at my practice full time since January 2017.
